The source was a friend of Prince Harry who confided in Kate Nicholl, that Harry had once said Meghan from suits was his ideal woman.
This piece of fake news went round the world and I argue put Prince Harry in a bad light.
Why you might ask do i care, first of all as a former news journalist I abhor fake news and I want to challenge anybody that enjoys fake news.
This fake news was debunked by Prince Harry himself in the post engagement BBC interview with Mishal Husain in which he confirmed that he never watched suits and he never knw Meghan before they met on that blind date set up by a female friend.
I say it put Harry in bad light because that made him immature, rebellious and frivolous man who picks up girls from TV shows.
While Harry might be a rebellious fun chap, does he really deserve fake news.
Notice how the rest of the so called royal correspondents would never dare question Kate Nicholl.
In conclusion I want to say Harry and William have created a safe space for themselves amongst a faithful group of friends that don't blab to the press and gleefully will humiliate people like Kate Nicholl by feeding them fake news. Time for the BBC and ITV and all these US television shows to stop using these so called royal contributors. They are too old, and as far as William and Harry news is concerned best to get it from younger, milenialls like Melany Bromley at E news or Camilla Tominey who broke the news of the romance in the first place.
